I have stayed several times at the Mandarin Orchard in Singapore both as a solo traveller and with my family. I have lived in Singapore and have tried a good number of the hotels in the city but I think Mandarin Orchard is the best. Obviously it cannot be compared to Shangri-la or Mandarin Oriental but then we’re talking another price range which would make a comparison difficult. When staying at the Mandarin Orchard I have chosen to pay the extra money to have a club level room. The rooms are located on the higher floors and are big with a beautiful view over Singapore. The club room comes with access to the club lounge and a separate club level check-in which takes place just next to the lounge on the 33rd floor (I think). The club level manager Angela is a fantastic person and remembers your name every time and asks about the rest of my family who have stayed there before. In the club lounge you’ll be served a breakfast buffet each morning and a chef is on hand to cook your eggs to your liking. In the afternoon they serve afternoon tea with so much to choose from both sandwiches and pastries. And in the evening there is a couple of hours with free drinks including champagne, wine, drinks and liquors and a small buffet which is quite sufficient to keep you full until next days breakfast. All in all Mandarin Orchard is a fantastic hotel, in an excellent location and terrific staff. It’s my first choice when travelling to Singapore!

The Mandarin Orchard Singapore is an older hotel that has been nicely refubished at some stage. The Service is impeccable, good sized rooms and right in the shopping district. I would have no problem staying here again.

I always staying in Singapore couple of days when i go back to Japan and so far this is the best hotel i have ever stayed in Singapore.
Good Location, Good Price. The room was very clean, modern a touch of elegance and huge!. Only the thing i didnt like was that they had connecting door in my room so at night, i can hear the people next door. but other than that, everything was good. Nice Bed too.
After i checked out and got to the airport and i realized that i left my envelop full of cash in my room. I was so stressed and thought someone will take it so i rushed back to the hotel and made phone call on the way back to hotel and the lady who answered my call straight away organized Duty Manager to inspect the room so when i got to the hotel, Duty Manager returned me my cash. Sometime i am not sure how much i can rely and trust the hotels and services in some countries but in this hotel, they provide you safe and comfortable environment for the guest. I will go back next time for sure
